In mid-June, our full EMEA and APAC teams gathered for their annual company Offshore.
At Northshore, we host two types of in-person gatherings: Offshores and Onshores. Offshores bring together teams from across countries and disciplines to align on company-wide goals and strengthen collaboration. Onshores, by contrast, are focused, team-level sessions where individual groups dive into their specific priorities and roadmaps. While they may sound similar, each plays a distinct role in how we stay connected and deliver at scale.
We look forward every year to our Offshores as it gives our employees time to ground themselves in Northshore’s mission and how our work is making a real difference for our clients and decarbonizing the data center industry.
In EMEA and APAC, Northshore is helping shape some of the most ambitious and complex data center projects in the world. This Offshore was about sharpening our edge, sharing best practices, and aligning our approach, so that wherever our clients are, and whatever their challenges are, they can rely on us to lead with clarity and capability.
A Remote Company, Stronger Together
Northshore is a remote-first company by design. Our teams span time zones, disciplines, and geographies, delivering complex work with precision and speed, wherever our clients are based.
What sets us apart is not just where we work, but how we work.
Rather than operating in fixed departments, Northshore builds project teams around expertise. Our model allows the right people to be pulled into the right challenges, drawing on deep knowledge from across sustainability, engineering, analytics, and strategy. It’s a structure designed to solve problems, not protect silos.
Offshores like this one give us rare, high-value time in person to connect across those domains. They’re where ideas are tested, knowledge is shared, and relationships are strengthened, so when we return to our respective regions and clients, we’re even more aligned.
This is how we stay agile, stay connected, and stay ahead, together.
Where Expertise Meets Scale
Global demand for data infrastructure continues to surge. According to McKinsey, total global data center capacity demand is projected to reach 82 GW by 2025, driven by the rise of AI and digital services.
To put that in perspective, the UK’s entire grid capacity stood at 74.8 GW in 2023. The scale of data center demand is now comparable to the power infrastructure of entire nations, a clear signal of the sector’s strategic importance.
This level of growth brings major opportunity and major responsibility. For our clients, the question isn’t whether to act, but who to act with.
Across engineering, data, sustainability, and consulting, Northshore’s teams in EMEA and APAC bring a proven ability to work across the full asset lifecycle. We’re not experimenting. We’re delivering in live environments, every day, and at scale.
Seastack: Digital Delivery with Depth
One area where alignment came into sharp focus was Seastack, Northshore’s data platform designed specifically for the data center industry and by sustainability experts. With modules already in use across client portfolios, Seastack consolidates assets, telemetry, and utility data into a unified environment that supports sustainability, efficiency, and smart decision-making.
During the Offshore, teams not only deepened their knowledge of the platform but also pitched ideas for future product development, shaping the next evolution of Seastack around real-world client needs. From hands-on demos to strategy sessions, our employees became even more equipped to bring Seastack to market with confidence and clarity.
It’s not a concept. It’s a practical, tested tool that’s ready to grow with your ambitions.
Proven Integration, Real Results
Our strength isn’t just in our services, it’s in how we connect them.
- Engineering and Consulting teams are working across both greenfield and brownfield sites, supporting everything from early-stage design to operational optimization.
- Sustainability specialists are guiding clients through complex Scope 3 emissions, lifecycle assessments, and data-driven ESG reporting.
- Data and Analytics teams are standardizing high-impact solutions from custom engagements, turning them into scalable products clients can trust.
Clients don’t come to us for off-the-shelf advice. They come to us because we integrate expertise, technology, and delivery into one clear pathway to impact.
Turning Internal Alignment Into External Value
The Offshore may have been an internal moment, but its value is outward-facing.
It strengthened how our EMEA and APAC teams operate: with sharper alignment, clearer communication, and even deeper cross-functional collaboration. For our partners, that translates into real advantages:
- Faster mobilization in complex markets
- Local expertise delivered with global consistency
- Multi-disciplinary teams built around your needs, not our org chart
- A single, joined-up approach from strategy to execution
In a sector where pressure, pace, and precision all matter, we know that trust is earned through delivery. This is exactly what our regional teams are doing: helping clients navigate change, unlock value, and move forward with confidence.
A Bit of Fun, Too
While the focus of the Offshore was strategy, delivery, and alignment, we also made space to enjoy ourselves as a team. The retreat took place in the serene beauty of Northern France, a perfect midpoint to bring our team together from all corners of the world, including the UK, Amsterdam, Portugal, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Greece, and even as far as Australia.
From a massive game of rounders on the lawn to a fiercely competitive data center-themed pub quiz (inspired by NYT Connections, but packed with industry abbreviations), the week gave us the chance to connect on a personal level, too. There were personality quizzes, an engineering egg-drop challenge (very competitive), pool volleyball, a barbecue, and plenty of laughs along the way.
One team member captured it perfectly: “We’re growing in all areas but staying true to how Northshore started. That makes me proud to be part of the team.”
It’s that balance, between high performance and strong relationships, that defines how we work at Northshore. And it’s part of what makes us a great team to work with.
Ready When You Are
At Northshore, our model is simple: align the right people, tools, and thinking to solve complex problems globally. EMEA and APAC’s Offshore 2025 reinforced just how far that mindset can take us.
Northshore’s teams are built to deliver.

P.S.: Since sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and because our team is spread across the globe, we are intentional about choosing meeting locations that help minimize travel emissions.
For our most recent gathering, we landed on Northern France as the ideal spot. We used CO₂ORDINATE, an open-source tool, to help us decide the location with the least amount of carbon emissions from air travel.
