Michaela grew up in California’s Bay Area and is entering her senior year as mechanical engineering student at UCLA. Her love for nature sparked a passion for sustainability, guiding her academic and career pursuits. As a mechanical engineering intern, she’s eager to apply her skills to data center optimization—helping reduce environmental impact while improving efficiency. Outside of work, Michaela enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.
From Kingston New York, Trey has always had a particular interest in sustainability and how engineering can be used to build a brighter future. As a Mechanical Engineering student at the University at Buffalo, he found a passion for energy systems through fluid dynamics and heat transfer courses.
As a mechanical intern this summer at Northshore, Trey is eager to contribute to the Northshore team and gain hands on experience working with data center cooling systems.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Malia spent countless days skiing in the Cascades and swimming in Puget Sound—experiences that sparked her passion for sustainability. Observing how businesses both globally and in Seattle embraced sustainable practices to foster community further motivated her to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Sustainability at the University of Washington.
Malia is excited about the internship opportunity with Northshore, where sustainability lies at the heart of the mission. She is eager to contribute by identifying unique market opportunities, crafting compelling narratives, and leveraging modern digital tools to drive measurable results. Her goal is to help develop transparent marketing strategies and design campaigns that genuinely showcase Northshore’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
Chris is a Sustainability Engineer based in the UK and prior to working at Northshore, he worked as an Energy and Sustainability Consultant, with expertise in building performance engineering, carbon reduction strategies, ESG compliance frameworks, and climate adaptation.
He has extensive experience in delivering complex technical projects, achieving high environmental performance and regulatory alignment across various sectors. Chris holds a BEng in Architecture and Environmental Engineering from the University of the West of England.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys staying active and getting outdoors with a keen interest in running, hiking, rock climbing and snowboarding.
Steph is a Sustainability Intern at Northshore. She motivated by her passion for environmental sustainability.
She graduated with a first-class degree in Politics and International Relations (BSc) from the University of Bristol in 2024. During her time at university, Steph developed her hands-on experience by volunteering on a range of sustainability-focused initiatives.
In her free time, Steph enjoys reading and yoga.
From downstate New York, Jonathon was always interested in sustainability and resource management and will be an intern this summer with the Northshore team. Previously interning at a power utility company, he realized how important sustainability work would be for the future of technology and its growing electrical needs.
Currently studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, he hopes to get his hands on meaningful project work and make a positive environmental impact during his time with Northshore.
Lauren Kuntz is a seasoned project manager and mechanical engineer with 18 years of experience in commissioning, LEED consulting, and energy modeling before transitioning to project management.
She has led multiple LEED certified projects, including data centers, and is skilled at coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to meet quality, efficiency, and budget goals. Lauren has worked with Glumac and reBuild Consulting, focusing on energy and MEP systems for commercial and advanced tech projects.
She holds a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Engineering from MIT. Now based in Sintra, Portugal, she shares her passion for sustainable buildings, music, and travel with her husband and two children.
Stasi Rogers is a highly skilled commissioning and construction professional with over 15 years of experience, including the last 3 years dedicated to mission critical data center commissioning and 11 years in the Wind energy industry. Known for delivering complex infrastructure projects under tight timelines, Stasi brings deep expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, operational readiness, and construction quality assurance.
His hands-on experience spans data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and backup systems, where he has led and supported Level 1–5 commissioning processes. With a strong safety-first mindset, technical precision, and effective leadership, Stasi ensures every system meets rigorous performance and compliance standards.
Stasi is a well-rounded field technician and project contributor across multiple high-demand industries. In his free time, he enjoys are skiing at the local slopes and biking.
As a lifelong curious thinker, Juan pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering to better understand the inner workings of mechanical systems and their optimal performance. With experience in computational fluid dynamics and aerodynamic design, he is driven to apply his foundational knowledge to deliver sustainable and efficient solutions for data centers.
Juan earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Northridge and has lived in California, Nevada, and New York. When he’s offline, he enjoys traveling to new destinations and exploring local cuisines, with an appreciation for regional dishes.
Based in Hertfordshire, just outside of London, Rachael brings over six years of experience in Commercial Finance and Management Accounting, with a strong background in the construction and engineering sectors. She has developed expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, and performance analysis, helping businesses drive efficiency and sustainable growth.
She is passionate about leveraging financial insights to support strategic decision-making and contribute to initiatives that create long-term impact. As a Project Accountant, Rachael is responsible for overseeing project finances tracking costs, ensuring budget adherence, and providing accurate reporting to support the successful delivery of client projects.
Abhinav has a background in Mechanical Engineering. Before moving to the UK in 2023 he was working with an FMCG company in India in their Sustainability domain to achieve and align with the 2030 ESG targets.
He has recently completed his masters in Sustainability and Management from the University of Bath. During his master’s he has working in various consulting projects helping companies in their sustainability journey. As part of his course, he completed his dissertation for a research & publication company and helped them in their Scope 3 calculations and net zero strategy.
Abhinav combines all of his previous experience and knowledge, bringing it to Northshore and is dedicated to making the Internet more Sustainable!
Anthony Paul is Northshore’s Commissioning Manager with 12 years of experience in construction with a focus on commissioning of mission critical facilities. Anthony brings a track record of delivering over 700 MW of data center capacity globally, spanning colocation, hyperscale, and high performance computing facilities. In his role at Northshore he is leading the commissioning team to provide services from design review through commissioning of all MEP & controls systems. His credentials include a BS in Energy Systems Engineering from Oregon State University, CCP, OSHA 10, and NFPA 70E.
Liza is part of Northshore’s Data & Analytics team, where she develops data-driven strategies to help clients optimize operations and improve energy efficiency in data centers.
She brings experience in data analytics, engineering, and visualization. She earned her Bachelor’s in Cognitive Science and Computing from UCLA. Before joining Northshore, she worked as a Data and Analytics Consultant, helping organizations strengthen their business intelligence capabilities.
Originally from San Diego, Liza developed an appreciation for the outdoors and a commitment to sustainability. This perspective fuels her interest in energy efficiency around data centers and inspires her to align her technical expertise with sustainability conscious practices. Outside of work, she enjoys coaching UCLA’s club field hockey team and being at the beach.
Tanisha is a data analyst who holds a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from UC San Diego and received her master’s in urban data science from NYU. She has a passion for working in the intersection of climate, technology and data.
In previous roles, she applied machine learning and NLP techniques to analyze large scale web data, conducted A/B testing, and built data pipelines to evaluate social impact and improve keyword detection accuracy. At Northshore, she leverages data analytics to drive infrastructure improvements and energy efficiency to help mitigate the impact of digital infrastructure.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring new neighborhoods in New York and playing tennis.
Originally from Mexico City, Dyron earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arkansas State University Querétaro, driven by a deep passion for engineering and sustainability, he aims to merge innovation with environmental responsibility to help shape a cleaner future.
As the data center industry grows in Querétaro, he supports Northshore’s regional expansion and contribute to both technological and sustainable development. Dyron does this by overseeing and supporting engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring technical accuracy and smooth coordination across teams, driven by a commitment to sustainability and a vision for a cleaner, more climate resilient future.
Outside of work, they enjoy playing football, video games, and exploring new restaurants.
Alan is passionate about advancing sustainability in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and he’s excited to support Northshore’s mission.
With over six years of experience in energy modeling, performance simulation, and energy audits, he focuses on reducing energy consumption, lowering operational costs, and minimizing environmental impact. At Northshore he conducts on-site building assessments, supports energy modeling for LEED certification and utility incentives, and reviews architectural and systems plans to evaluate energy efficiency and project feasibility.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Houston. Outside of work, Alan enjoys hiking, running, and playing tennis.
Sofia is a Project Engineer based in London, passionate about building a sustainable future. Originally from Panama City, Panama, she earned her BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2021.
After graduating, she spent two years designing energy-efficient mechanical systems for various buildings, especially data centers, and contributed to CFD analysis to optimize design performance. Sofia earned an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and now applies her expertise to advance sustainability in the data center industry, where she believes Northshore is well-positioned to drive meaningful change.
Outside work, she enjoys concerts, musicals, traveling, and experimenting with growing vegetables in her garden.
Phil is the Energy Program Manager for APAC at Northshore and the first locally based team member supporting APAC projects and clients. With more than 12 years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainability, he brings deep expertise to the role.
A civil engineering graduate from Queensland University of Technology, Phil developed a passion for improving energy and water use in the built environment. In Sydney, he delivered system commissioning, control optimization, and audits across portfolios, while also conducting building analytics for sites in the Sydney CBD.
After relocating to California in 2019, he focused on efficiency opportunities through demand side management programs for utilities, working with data centers, labs, and offices. Now back in Brisbane, he enjoys time on the water with family and friends.
Uma studied Business Management with Law at Pearson College London. After graduating, she was fortunate to jump into the data center industry, supporting the design and construction team with project coordination.
She later moved into Project Management in Construction for a UK-based project, where she began gaining exposure to the engineering side of the data center world. Uma chose to stay on the management path, with a renewed focus on implementing energy-saving measures, landing her role as the Northshore’s Project Manager.
In her spare time, Uma enjoys creating things, whether it is small DIY projects, hand-crafted pottery, or capturing moments through film photography. She also loves hiking, traveling, and attending music events that fuel her creativity and curiosity.
Prav is a Principal Consultant in Northshore Europe’s E&C department with a decade of experience in the data center industry. His role focuses on advising clients on efficient data centre design strategies.
He supports upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they meet internal and external sustainability standards. This includes implementing advanced technologies such as liquid cooling and driving innovation through the productization of infrastructure. His work helps data centre operators deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions to their end customers.
Prav holds an MSc in Data Science from Birkbeck College London and a BEng in Building Services Engineering from London South Bank University. During his free time he enjoys getting outside, whether its hiking, swimming, or diving, but right now life’s greatest adventure is being a dad.
Niovi is an Energy Consultant based in London whose passion lies in developing and delivering sustainable energy solutions. She brings technical and analytical skills to Northshore’s EMEA team, aiming at tackling key challenges of data center infrastructure. Niovi strives for excellence while balancing her commitment to the environment with social and business needs.
With more than five years of experience in energy management and efficiency optimization projects, she has been responsible for performance improvements of large-scale energy centers and has designed energy conservation measures for industrial clients and the public sector.
Niovi holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras in Greece and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London in the UK.
Maria is a sustainability engineer based in Bristol, UK, committed to helping businesses understand their environmental impact and reduce emissions.
She aims to make sustainability practical, achievable, and accessible by cutting through its complexity. Her expertise spans carbon accounting, net-zero strategies, energy performance tracking, and regulatory compliance, including EED, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and CNDCP. She collaborates closely with clients to design strategies that meet business goals while advancing a greener future.
Maria holds a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. Outside work, she enjoys staying active with sports like tag rugby, squash, and lacrosse, and proudly supports Queens Park Rangers and the Bristol Bears.
Lindsay grew up in Seattle where environmental stewardship was at the forefront of everyday life. She loves to connect with people and is motivated to tackle current sustainability challenges in the digital infrastructure industry through multidisciplinary collaboration and data-driven insights.
After spending over a year working for Northshore in the U.S. as an Energy Project Engineer, she joined the EMEA team where she is currently based in Amsterdam. She focuses on energy efficiency projects, asset validation, and data analytics across several client portfolios. She is excited by the opportunity to diversify her knowledge of data center markets and understand the challenges unique to each region.
Lindsay received her BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University. She also received the 2022 Emerging Talent Award by Infrastructure Masons, in recognition of her efforts and commitment to the industry to date.
Lawrence graduated from the University of Bath with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. His internship with Northshore during the summer before his final year at university helped nurture his enthusiasm for sustainability. He is driven to discover and apply energy solutions which are imperative for the field to meet the net zero target set by the UK government for 2050.
Additionally, Lawrence partnered with Northshore for his dissertation, which investigated new methods of optimizing the performance of data centers in order to make them as efficient as possible. He aims to further this goal to implement the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to the sector.
James is an engineer based in London whose passion lies in breaking down complex issues and finding inspiration from alternative environments to create data-driven solutions. A Prince2-qualified project manager with previous experience working in the data center industry, James is excited to help Northshore sustainably support the growth curve of the internet.
James holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and a MSc in Sustainable Energy and Environment from Cardiff University.
Based in Paris, Eric is part of Northshore’s expanding European team. His passion lies in using data analytics to target energy efficiency opportunities in data centers, some of the largest energy consumers on the planet.
After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from UCLA, Eric joined the built environment industry at Tetra Tech, a global engineering consulting firm. There, he provided energy analysis services for a wide range of building systems and building types. He headed the data analytics team tasked with creating premium tools for the firm, as well as advanced analytics for clients.
Eric brings his knowledge and experience of both energy engineering and data analytics to the Northshore team.
Coming from a design role at a multinational consultancy, Corry brings experience working on major European projects, using a wide range of software and collaborating with global teams. Corry’s passion for environmental preservation and tackling climate change stems from his roots in rural Britain. Forming a connection with the natural environment from the start, he’s a self-proclaimed “country kid.” This has been cemented through years of avid involvement in watersports, and a Master’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the university of Exeter.
Corry has experience in utilizing physics-based simulation models and digital twin technologies for sustainability-focused projects. Exemplifying the need for validated data to take climate action.
In his free time, he usually spends time waiting for the wind to go windsurfing, taking his dog out for long walks, and firing up the grill for a proper cookout.
Based in Lancaster, Cameron studied mechanical engineering at the University of Edinburgh where he gained a master’s degree.
As part of his degree, he undertook a placement at an engineering simulation company which modeled the behavior of bulk materials. This is where he discovered a passion for using simulation software and programming to solve diverse problems. He previously worked as an Associate Product Analyst where he led user research, crafted product roadmaps, and facilitated collaboration across teams.
Before that, he was an Engineering Intern at Altair EDEM, contributing to the development of customer-facing resources and visual aids to enhance software usability. In his spare time Cameron is a keen boulder-er (climbing, for people who are afraid of heights).
Azam’s passion for sustainability and data analytics has been a driving force throughout his career. He believes that using data to gain insights and make informed decisions is key to building a more energy-efficient and sustainable world.
At Northshore, he applies his skills to develop innovative solutions that help clients achieve their energy and sustainability goals. Azam has a wealth of experience in both the wind and nuclear energy industries. In wind, he focused on analyzing wind farm performance and optimizing models to improve prediction accuracy. In the nuclear sector, he contributed to the design and manufacture of reactor components, ensuring top-tier quality.
He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bristol, where he built a strong foundation through hands-on projects and internships. A big sports fan, Azam enjoys playing cricket, and follows Formula 1, though he jokes he’s not quite an F1 driver just yet.
Antoine brings his engineering and problem-solving skills to Northshore, he recited his MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath.
He brings a blend of consulting and hands-on engineering experience, currently working as a Consulting Engineer at Northshore, where he supports energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Previously, he interned with Northshore’s Energy Engineering team and worked at Faurecia Automotive Seating, then traveled through Latin America for the other half before returning as a full-time member of the EMEA team.
Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and getting outside. Whether it is hiking or snow sports, he enjoys staying active.
Akshay has always been fascinated by numbers and physics and wanted to use his passion for engineering to help solve critical, real-world problems.
Having spent much of his youth in Mumbai where blackouts were common, he grew a desire to do his part in developing and optimizing systems that would conserve energy. He led the design and launch of atmospheric burners at Wayne Combustion Systems, boosting thermal output by 20% and contributing to $1.75M in projected annual revenue.
His background includes energy audits, battery research, and mechanical design. In his free time he enjoys watching the Barcelona football team, enjoys going on hikes, and likes to play football.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Valeriya developed a strong appreciation for the environment and a passion for sustainability. She believes that solving today’s challenges requires innovative, data-driven solutions, especially in reducing energy use.
Drawn to the data center industry’s energy impact, she joined Northshore as an intern and was inspired to stay by the meaningful work and collaborative team. Valeriya manages and collaborates with teams of engineers across a multitude of projects to help Northshore optimize its impact on the data center industry.
She holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with a minor in Mathematics from Santa Clara University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and trying new hobbies.
With a decade of experience in the built environment, Talia brings a ranging skill set shaped by her work as a pre-construction manager at one of the nation’s top electrical contractors.
She has led large-scale public utility infrastructure programs and EV charging system projects, emphasizing the importance of solid planning, design, and estimating for successful outcomes. Talia earned her BS in Construction Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a minor in Spanish. She is a Project Manager at Northshore who supports teams to keep projects flowing and growing the business.
Passionate about travel, music, languages, and the environment, she is inspired by her two children and believes Northshore is where she can make a lasting impact.
As the Engineering Manager at Northshore, Steve leads with a deep background in sustainable building systems and complex project execution. He strives to research better methods and designs to minimize the negative impacts of the built environment.
Prior to joining Northshore in 2023, he held senior engineering roles at Glumac, PAE Consulting Engineers, and ACCO Engineered Systems. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. His expertise spans from HVAC systems, energy efficient design, and integrated engineering solutions for high-performance buildings.
Steve resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife, two kids, and Australian Cattle Dog. He enjoys running, backpacking, good food and drink, bad movies, and cheesy humor.
Solomon’s life has been greatly shaped by the climate and environmental justice movement in Portland, Oregon where he grew up. It has guided his career and gave him the goal to take serious climate action through his work. He is excited to improve data center sustainability performance at Northshore, because it’s a powerful way to do just that.
Solomon graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Energy Science and Technology, a minor in Energy Policy, and a certificate in Climate Leadership.
In his free time, you can find him in nature, running, hiking, and writing poetry.
Sam earned his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. He is passionate about the environment in outdoor education and hopes to use his engineering knowledge to contribute to decarbonizing the data center industry.
As demand for data infrastructure continues to rise, Sam is driven to utilize environmentally friendly business practices to build a sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure as Northshore’s Consulting Engineer.
Sam enjoys the challenge of problem-solving complex energy solutions and likes to spend his free time in the outdoors, climbing, skiing, and mountain biking.
Meghan is the Energy Program Manager for North America at Northshore, where she helps clients across North America to expand their energy savings with resilient, efficient, and energy analysis-based design.
With a mechanical engineering degree from UCLA and a background in energy modeling, she enjoys blending technical fundamentals with resilient and efficient solutions. Before joining Northshore, she worked on NetZero, electrified, and LEED/WELL certified projects at an MEP design firm, bringing teams together to create thoughtful, high-performance systems.
Meghan has a strong passion for problem solving and sustainability, she brings technical experience, thoughtful leadership and excited engagement to the Northshore Building Engineering Team. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys traveling the world, skiing, surfing, backpacking, and soaking up the sunshine.
Natalia is a Software Engineer based in Denver. She leverages both her technical skillset and engineering background to bring complex ideas to life.
As part of the Northshore team, Natalia is helping to launch new cloud solutions and products by contributing to the system architecture, database administration, and full-stack development.
Prior to joining Northshore, Natalia worked in finance, marketing, and logistics, where she led projects on performance assessments and action proposals to improve customer contribution, investments, and customer relationships. She is passionate about finding efficient solutions through programming and providing others with the tools to produce their best work.
Prior to joining Northshore as an E&C Consulting Engineer, Kyle was an HVAC design engineer at a Boston-based MEP design firm working on major patient towers with LEED ratings, NetZero assisted living homes, and various commercial renovations. He is excited to bring what he has learned in the sustainable MEP industry to help Northshore’s mission of carbon neutrality and performance optimization.
Kyle studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Vermont where he found his passion for the outdoors. He grew up in southern New Jersey rooting for the Flyers and Eagles.
Jonathan joined Northshore with a combined 17 years of experience in both the field and office of the construction industry. His work in residential, commercial, and heavy civil construction has provided him with a wide range of knowledge, which he will use to help implement energy efficiency projects.
Jonathan’s strong passion for the environment and sustainability was cultivated early on by the community he was raised in, having grown up on Vashon Island in the Puget Sound. His goal is to utilize his knowledge in construction to help facilitate change. He received his BBA in Marketing and Management from the University of Portland, and his Journeyman’s card in Carpentry from the Northwest College of Construction.
Drew has nearly 20 years of construction experience, including a decade in the electrical trade, and is currently a Journeyman electrician on the path to becoming a Master Electrician.
He has led projects as a foreman across industrial, agricultural, and residential job sites, bringing deep expertise in electrical systems and energy management. Drew’s hands on knowledge ensures timely, cost-effective project delivery, grounded in a strong understanding of practical equipment installation.
He holds an Associate degree in Electrical Technology from the North Dakota College of Science. Outside of work, he’s all about staying active outside or working on problem-solving activities such as engine repair.
Diana joined Northshore full time as a Project Engineer after earning her BSc in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, after completing a two-year internship with the Northshore.
Her passion for data science grew from an interest in optimizing processes and solving complex problems using advanced analytics and machine learning. She enjoys finding patterns in data and using advanced analytical tools and machine learning models to solve complex problems.
This focus guided her academic and internship work, ultimately shaping her career path. Outside of work, Diana enjoys traveling, snowboarding, surfing, and spending time with her Yorkshire terrier and hairless cat.
Collin brings a computer and network engineering background to Northshore’s interdisciplinary engineering team, with a focus on scaling customer software engineering initiatives. With a BS in computer science and engineering from Santa Clara University, Collin has a knack for solving complex mathematical problems and brings a software and automation-first approach to the internet infrastructure challenges taken on by the Northshore engineering team.
Collin’s motivation for sustainability traces back to his roots growing up in sustainable communities in Northern California where he honed his understanding of the importance of sustainable engineering and the impact and we have on our planet. On the Northshore engineering team, Collin is able to channel his passion for software and sustainability in his pursuit of designing novel software solutions.
As an intern at Northshore, Claire developed a carbon accounting procedure to assure the company’s carbon neutrality since its inception and to estimate the operational and embodied carbon of construction projects. She now joins the team full-time as a project engineer, where she will continue to advance internal and external sustainability initiatives as well as contribute to the construction and implementation of projects.
She is driven by a passion for sustainable infrastructure; she believes in the power of new ideas and technology that can support the ever-growing needs of our population, while optimizing positive impact to both the local and global environment. Northshore plays an important role in developing a more sustainable future for internet infrastructure, and Claire is excited to be involved in this dynamic and critical work.
Claire graduated from Santa Clara University with a BSc in civil, environmental, and sustainable engineering.
Southern California native, Chris has long been passionate about green infrastructure and sustainability. While interning at Northshore during his time at UCLA, he developed a fascination with sustainability project work and later expanded his interests to include data science for optimizing data center operations.
He previously worked in mechanical design labs on campus, creating everything from 3D modeled rockets to a leveling tripod system. Growing from his experience as an intern, he expanded his field of interest to include using data science to help process information associated with the operation of a successful data center.
Chris holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with an emphasis in tech management from UCLA and enjoys cooking and exploring Denver in his free time.
As a California-based mechanical engineer and project manager, Brett blends his passion for sustainability with his engineering skillset to advance green solutions within the built environment.
With nearly a decade of experience building complex mechanical systems in large-scale commercial buildings, Brett has had the opportunity to support LEED Platinum installations within convention centers, corporate campuses, and laboratories. Brett was drawn to Northshore’s mission of bringing increased sustainability to internet infrastructure and is thrilled to apply his expertise in furthering these goals.
Brett received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
In his spare time, you can find him mountain biking, rock climbing, and wandering aimlessly through the forest.
Ben grew up in southwestern Montana, where his passion for sustainability and the outdoors began.
While studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in energy resources at Cal Poly, he joined Northshore as an intern. There, he discovered a keen interest in merging cutting-edge technology with sustainable infrastructure through hands-on project work and design.
Barrett has been in the construction industry for over a decade, and has worked for two of the top electrical contractors in the nation. He focused on the commercial sector, building out tenant improvement projects along with green initiative projects put on by investor-owned utilities that touched on mobile home park infrastructure and electric vehicle charging improvements.
Barrett has experience both as a contractor and a manager, owning the construction of various international sales offices with POC labs for a storage networking company. In addition to his international work, he managed various departments’ internal space planning needs at the company’s headquarters based in San Jose, California.
Barrett received his BSc degree in construction management, with a minor in business administration at Chico State University.
Anastasia is an experienced geospatial and remote sensing professional with an enthusiasm for mapping and modeling a variety of environments.
Her previous experience included assisting in wildlife conservation efforts and prevention/ intervention of human-caused wildfires. Anastasia strongly believes in being a part of the data process from collection to finished product, and that understanding the process allows for it to be reliable, robust, and fast.
She is excited to now focus on built environments and be a part of facilitating the sustainability efforts that are vital to the sector.
Anastasia holds a BSc in environmental science and geology from the University of Montana Western, and an MSc in geoscience from University College London.
Amy is an experienced accountant and has years of experience in the consulting, engineering, and construction industries.
Prior to being an accountant and controller, Amy worked as an analyst for the U.S. Navy.
She is a self-proclaimed nerd who enjoys collaborative storytelling in her spare time. She is happy to be part of Northshore, aligning her personal ethos with the company’s values.
Sam believes that we can do more with data; that the key to a sustainable future for all exists in unlocking the secrets of today.
His motivation stems from a deep passion to establish sustainability as the foundation of our built environment; holistically designing buildings for our future, not only the present. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with minors in Engineering for Energy Sustainability and Engineering Thermal Energy Systems.
Sam leads our Technology department, developing innovative & bespoke solutions that empower our world-class clients to achieve sustainable impact at scale.
Mitch pursued engineering out of a deep commitment to environmental stewardship and a desire to preserve natural resources. With a background in energy conservation, onsite generation, and water-saving design, he approaches every project as if he were the investor, ensuring maximum conservation impact.
Before joining Northshore, Mitch served as an Associate Principal at one of the largest MEP consulting firms on the West Coast where he worked on energy conservation, onsite energy generation, and water conservation design solutions.
Now at Northshore’s he oversees the Energy Program. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland and enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with his two children.
Erin Rowe is a mechanical engineer and sustainability expert with over 20 years of global experience making data centers and buildings more climate resilient.
She has led ESG strategies, energy audits, and sustainability programs across EMEA, North America, and Asia, working with major tech clients like Microsoft, Apple, and AWS. She received a bachelor’s degree in engineering and mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. With a background in HVAC design, a passion for water and energy savings, Erin blends technical depth with practical expertise in LEED and environmental compliance.
Now based in the Netherlands, Erin enjoys biking around her Haarlem neighborhood and spending time with her family when she is not working on green solutions.
Ed brings his experience in the data center sector to Northshore’s EMEA business and oversees the Building Engineering aspects of the business.
Ed’s motivation is to drive sustainability projects across data center portfolios and support the sector to reach its sustainability targets.
Since graduating with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, Ed has filled a variety of roles across the sector, working on and leading a number of projects globally from design through construction, operation, upgrade, and expansion.
Through his work at RED and Romonet, he has enjoyed developing knowledge in M&E Engineering and data analysis to enable clients to optimize infrastructure efficiency, capacity, and risk.
Chris co-founded Northshore Build to advance Northshore’s environmental and sustainability priorities across the construction sector. He has 10 years of experience in both commercial and large-scale infrastructure construction.
In recent years, he worked for one of the nation’s largest electrical construction companies, supporting green initiatives advanced by PG&E and the state of California. Chris funnels his expertise in project development, design management, procurement, and construction management to further Northshore’s mission to reduce carbon emissions.
Chris received a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Structural Engineering from Santa Clara University.
George’s passion for energy and the environment began while studying Energy Engineering than earning his MS in Renewable Energy Engineering at Cranfield University, sparking an interest in the data center industry.
He went on to work for a UK-based startup specializing in modeling data center performance in terms of energy use and cost. At Northshore, George has led global consulting and analytic based projects across Western Europe, North America, Singapore, and Japan, using data to drive smarter, more sustainable decisions.
Today, he leads Northshore’s European expansion, bringing extensive experience in large scale analytics and a deep knowledge of the data center industry. Outside of work, George enjoys running, cycling, and spending time outdoors.
Matt founded Northshore to positively impact the efficiency and utilization of humankind’s largest machine: the internet. Recent studies have shown that up to 5% of the world’s global utility usage is consumed to power the internet. Matt sees in every data center an opportunity for better utilization and efficiency.
Previously, Matt served as a member of the high-performing Sales Engineering business unit at Digital Realty. There, he applied his skills in data center infrastructure, MEP systems/system design, and CFD applications to provide technical support and project management across the company’s diverse portfolio of enterprise and colocation customers.
Matt received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, then went right into the industry working for CFD software developer and vendor Future Facilities. Matt served as the Consulting Project Manager of the Americas where he led the engineering team through a broad scope of both domestic and international consulting opportunities.
